Phone 770 951 9382 to honor recall parts were unavailble. I have a 2006 bmw x5 4i. I m in the process of troubleshooting that issue based on an earlier post here but i wanted to know if the fan not working could cause the a c to not work. Unable to get dealer.

The fan should come on for either a engine temp or b ac operation. The fans very rarely go bad just the resistors usually. The compressor does not come on. So if it never ever comes on unless you have tow simultaneous failures elsewhere 0 001 chance the fan is the problem.
