Blinds Turning Rod Broke

The tape roll drum must be centered in the tape roll support cradle in order to turn freely.

Slide the metal rod out of the tilter control. Spray a very small amount while turning the rod. This may bind the tilt rod from turning. Not sure what size to buy.

This may help the rod rotate properly. If your blinds are locked open so turning the tilting rod doesn t change the blinds from open to closed position it s likely that the tilting rod has come loose on the inside of the blinds. You can also spray some on the roller on the other end of the blinds and in the track itself. Replace the tilter and push it down until it snaps back into place. Spraying with lubricant will loosen and lubricate the turning mechanism and open the blinds. Confirm that the tilter mechanism is completely set into the headrail of the blinds. Spray a small amount of lubricant where the rod is connected to the blinds.

Simply space the wand over the blind hook to open and close the blinds as needed. Make sure that the tape roll drum is properly set in the tape roll support cradle. If so use some needle nose pliers to pull it off the rod. Back to top restringing a blind.

Push the rod back through the tilter and replace cap brace. Once you finish spraying turn the twist rod back and forth and pull the string to make sure everything has freed up.
