Bleach can also weaken the grout causing it to crack and crumble. Using bleach to clean your colored grout can result in fading of the color making it uneven or even removing the cover if the bleach isn t handled properly. Pour the cleaning solution in a spray bottle and squirt directly on the grout line. Spray the shower tile generously and allow it to sit for about five minutes.

Quickly destroys dirt grime. Metal is highly reactive to bleach and will almost immediately begin to corrode or rust. Let the bleach solution stand for five minutes then rinse and air dry. Keep this mixture away from bleach though as it creates dangerous chlorine gas when mixed with ammonia.

Deep stains may call for replacing the grout altogether. Start with water and a stiff brush and if that doesn t do the trick try an oxygen cleaner or a mix of baking soda and vinegar followed by brushing.
